There are several editions of Business Studio available:

Professional - basic Business Studio edition used to design business architecture.

Enterprise - Business Studio edition used primarily by enterprises. Supports lifecycle management of the business architecture model. Contains the following modules in addition to those available in the Professional edition:

• Model Lifecycle Management;
• Quality Management System;
• Simulation and Activity-based Costing;
• Activity Controlling;
• MetaEdit: class and properties editor.

Ultimate - the top Business Studio edition used by multinational corporations. Contains the following modules in addition to those available in the Enterprise edition:

• Model development in multiple languages.

Business Studio also has separate applications used to extend its functionality:

Business Studio Portal - a web-portal generated based on data from the Business Studio database.

Cockpit - a limited functionality edition of Business Studio used to enter, control and analyze information (measure values, nonconformity messages).

MetaEdit - an editing tool used to change structure of new or existing Business Studio databases.
